The garden at Gwaenynog Hall photographed in early June. The property, parts of which date to the 16th-century, was home In the late 19th century to Beatrix Potter's aunt and uncle Harriet and Fred. The author visited regularly between 1895 to 1913 and described this as the ‘prettiest kind of garden, where bright, old fashioned flowers grown amongst the currant bushes’. In fact the gardens inspired her to write The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies, and she used her sketches of garden features to illustrate the book.
