The gardens at Holker Hall, Cumbria, photographed in August. They are owned by the Cavendish family, and comprise the Elliptical Garden; the Summer Garden; a wildflower meadow with labyrinth, stone circle and sundial; the neptune Cascade and fountain; and the Sunken Garden, with its lush, mixed planting.
