153 Willoughbridge - July-24.jpg

153 Willoughbridge is a small, private garden near Market Drayton, Shropshire, here photographed in early July. This small and beautiful garden was mostly laid to lawn, but has been transformed over the past five years to a relaxed, cottage meets prairie wildlife haven full of scented insect friendly plants. It comprises long borders, accessed via a rose arch, full of climbers, English roses, grasses and herbaceous perennials; a woodland-jungle area consisting of tree ferns, acers, bamboo and bananas; and a small water habitat area. There are also two green roofs, three bug hotels and a large Victorian greenhouse full of traditional and exotic plants.
