Flint Castle - Early Morning 10.jpg

Work began on Flint Castle, North Wales, in 1277 - and it was the first in a series of fortresses built by King Edward I as part of his conquest of the principality. The castle is located by the Dee estuary in North East Wales, just a few miles from the English border.
