Penrhyn Castle in Summer.jpg

Penrhyn Castle is a National Trust property located near Bangor, North Wales. It is a country house built to resemble a Norman castle. It was originally a medieval fortified manor house – and in 1438, a stone castle was built on the site. This was reconstructed by Samuel Wyatt in the 1780s. The building we see today was designed by Thomas Hopper and erected between about 1822 and 1837.
