Manley Knoll in May-85.jpg
Manley Knoll, Cheshire, photographed in May. This is an Arts and Crafts garden created in the early 1900s. Covering six acres, it is divided into different rooms including parterres, clipped yew hedging, ornamental ponds, a sunken garden, kitchen garden, a small orchard and herbaceous borders. With views across the Cheshire Plain, the garden also has a bluebell-carpeted sandstone quarry garden, planted with a range of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Pieris. Pictured is the Sunken Garden.
